Step Brothers tribute

Huff 'n Doback
4 color screen print
limited edition of 50

Gallery 1988 is such an amazing place and shows like this are exactly why I love working with them. I am such a big, big fan of the very underrated, eventual cult classic film Step Brothers. I could on and on about how I worship the comedic genius that is Will Ferrell, but instead I'll just state that I consider this his best film to date. G1988 is celebrating the 4 year anniversary of it and I'm proud to present my contribution.

There were so many highs in this film that deserved my focus but (no matter how obvious) I had to depict Huff 'n Doback and their music video for "Boats 'n Hoes." Pure genius. Middle aged white guys rapping like they're 2 Live Crew meets N.W.A. meets Wreckx N Effect meets 3rd Bass...genius. "The Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria...I'll do you in the bottom while you're drinkin' sangria!"

In addition to Ferrell's genius I should also give proper credit to writer/director Adam McKay and co-star John C. Reilly, who has somehow seamlessly transitioned from serious dramatic actor to comedy...the anti-Tom Hanks if you will. These guys make a great team and hopefully they'll do more together in the future.

"Huff 'n Doback" is available for $35 here.
